In the beginning of September 2015 The Association for Finnish Work has granted the Finnish Key Flag Symbol for Ice Power cold therapy products. It is a great honor to receive the Key Flag Symbol for Ice Power products, as it is a very well known symbol to prove the origin of the products. Finland is known worldwide for its high standards in product manufacturing, and the high quality of our products is something that we are very proud of. Ice Power cold therapy products are manufactured in Tampere, Finland. The Key Flag Symbol is an effective way to emphasize the origin of the Ice Power cold therapy products.
Requirements for The Key Flag Symbol products
The Key Flag Symbol can be granted to a product that has been manufactured in Finland. In addition, a degree of domestic origin is calculated for each product. The degree of domestic origin is the percentage of Finnish expenses of the total cost price. This calculation takes into account, for example, the raw materials, packing materials, marketing expenses and financing. The degree of domestic origin can vary quite a lot depending on, for example, the raw materials’ proportion of the total costs as not all raw materials are available in Finland. Consequently, the minimum requirement for products is that the degree of domestic origin is over 50 per cent. On average, however, the degree of domestic origin of products using the Key Flag Symbol is over 80 per cent.
